Welcome to ARWEEC

Appalachian Ridge Wind Energy Education Center is a non-profit organization dedicated toward promoting wind energy education center for public, private and industrial outreach and education.  Our work in the public and private sectors focus on wind energy education and wind farm tours.  Information is also being distributed through mailings, educational materials, lectures, power-point presentations and the like.  Our work with industry focus’s on improving and refining development techniques minimizing environmental impacts during the planning and development stages of a wind farm.  (The future building will be located in Portage Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.  Since 2009 we have given over 200 wind farm tours.  The tours have been provided at no cost to individuals, family groups, school groups, college classes, professional organizations, state organizations, governmental bodies and the like.)  To date more than 6,000 people have attended our tours.
